As if Justin Roiland wasn’t busy enough. Fresh off the release of Solar Opposite‘s third season and ahead of his universally acclaimed animated series Rick and Morty‘s sixth season, Roiland is working on yet another animated project set to hit Hulu this Halloween.
According to Deadline, the multifaceted voice actor and animator is returning to his roots by producing a Halloween Special for one of his first projects that never made it to primetime.
In 2009, Roiland pitched an animated variety comedy show called The Paloni Family Comedy Show to Fox for its Animation Domination block. The show was rejected, but now Roiland is bringing it back in the form of a Halloween Special.
The special will fittingly be called The Paloni Show! Halloween Special! It’ll follow the main characters Leroy, Reggie, and Cheruce Paloni in a series of spooky shorts. According to Deadline, the special will also showcase and incorporate the work of several up-and-coming animators.
Roiland will lend his voice to Leroy, while Zach Hadel (Adult Swim’s Smiling Friends) will play Reggie, and Pamela Adlon (FX’s Better Things) will play Cheruce.
The special, produced by 20th Century Animation, will be available exclusively on Hulu on October 17th.
