Rumor: Adam Driver Met With Marvel Studios For ‘Fantastic Four’

Thanks to a new report, Adam Driver may be moving from the Star Wars universe to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Ankler’s Jeff Sneider revealed the tidbit on the Hot Mic Podcast saying, Driver met with Marvel Studios around July or August for Fantastic Four for the role of Mister Fantastic. He would go on to say he heard rumors of Doctor Doom but says that seems unlikely.

Now, while Sneider says this happened months ago, we do know The Walt Disney Company is fond of Adam Driver, who played Kylo Ren in Star Wars episodes 7-9, and have been said to want to work with him again. Also, this story has relevance as Sneider was the first to report on Harrison Ford’s involvement and eventual casting as Thunderbolt Ross in Captain America: New World Order.

Adam Driver is the newest of a slew of rumored actors rumored for undisclosed roles in Fantastic Four. Other names have included Tom Ellis, Maddie Hasson, Jason Biggs, Daveed Diggs, Alexandra Daddario, Matthew Daddario, and of course, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt.

Writing duo eff Kaplan and Ian Springer are hard at work writing the script for Marvel’s first attempt at the Fantastic Four with Matt Shakman (WandaVision) set to direct. Moon Knight producers Grant Curtis and Nick Pepin are also on board.

The studio recently moved Fantastic Four to a new release date and will now hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
