Since her debut in Logan, Dafne Keen has been considered one of Hollywood’s youngest and brightest stars. While she eventually moved on to lead HBO’s The Golden Compass series, she’s been more or less out of the spotlight in recent years…until now.
During the latest episode of the podcast The Hot Mic, co-hosts Jeff Sneider and Jon Rocha revealed that the actress has secretly been cast in the forthcoming Star Wars prequel series The Acolyte.
While they didn’t say much else, this news still comes as a surprise considering that the series has already begun filming and casting was presumed to be complete.
Now, it goes without saying, but we urge you all to take this news with a grain of salt because 1) it has not been broken by a major trade and 2) because Lucasfilm has not commented or confirmed it either.
Because of all the secrecy surrounding the series already, however, we’re willing to bet that the Sneider and Rocha are right.
What do you think of Keen’s potential involvement? Sound off below!

The Acolyte is set to star Amandla Stenberg (The Hate You Give), Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Lee Jung- Jae (Squid Game), and Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll). The studio is keeping character details under wraps.
Lesley Headland (Russian Doll) will executive produce, direct, and has written the series. The 8-episode series will focus on the emergence of dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic Era. The series will be female-centric and will take place in a new part of the Star Wars timeline. Rayne Roberts is co-developing the series with Headland.
