Meryl Streep is returning to Hulu’s hit series Only Murders in the Building.
The show follows the story of three strangers, played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves involved in a real murder mystery in their apartment building.
Streep will again recur and reprise her role as Loretta Durkin, the love interest to Short’s Oliver Putnam. Season three ended (spoiler alert) with Loretta getting an offer to work in Los Angeles. She also joins Molly Shannon, who recently joined the all-star cast.
In terms of accolades, while the series may not have won major awards. it did receive critical acclaim and generated a considerable fan following. The performances of the main cast, particularly Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, were widely praised for their chemistry and comedic timing.
Furthermore, the show’s success on Hulu and positive reception suggest that it may have a promising future in terms of awards recognition and continued popularity. Its ability to engage audiences with its mix of humor and mystery bodes well for its standing in the television landscape.
