The first free content update of 2024 is out for Disney Dreamlight Valley. The Laugh Floor update brings in new characters, cosmetics, furniture items, and even more to collect. Let’s recap everything new that’s been added to Disney Dreamlight Valley via their most recent (February 28th) patch notes.
New Realm & Characters
A new realm has been added to the Dreamlight Castle. Venture into the Laugh Floor at Monsters Inc. where you’ll find Mike and Sulley. Once their introductory quests are completed, invited them back to the valley. Each character comes with new friendship quests to unlock exclusive items. Mike and Sulley’s housing lot when they move into the Valley is their Monsters University dorm.
To unlock the Monsters Inc. Realm, head into the Dreamlight Castle and make your way up to the second floor. The realm door can be found to the left of the Beauty & The Beast realm’s door. It costs 15,000 dreamlight currency to open.
New Cosmetics
Players will receive a brand new “Dreamlight” armour set in their mailbox when they first log in. New character customization options have been added, including new skin tones, colour contact lenses, and ears.
New Lovely Monsters Star Path
The “Lovely Monsters” Star Path is the first 2024 Star Path for Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Exclusive items include new hairstyles and cosmetics for the player, and Monsters University alternate styles for Mike and Sulley. New furniture items such as the Tony’s dining table from “Lady & The Tramp”, and other Valentine’s Day themed items are included. Players will have until April 17th to complete the Star Path.
New Dream Bundle
The Disney Dreamlight Valley developers have launched a new in-game bundle called the Starlight House bundle. The bundle consists of new cozy themed furniture items and cosmetics as new pajamas. The bundle includes a new exclusive alternate style for Belle and a exclusive cozy cabin skin for player’s home. Like previously released bundles, the Starlight House bundle is permeant.
Quality of Life Changes & Bug Fixes
The mailbox has received an upgrade in Disney Dreamlight Valley. All mail is organized into different categories. Depending on the contents, mail will be organized into Activations, Rewards & Offers, Events, Other, and the general “All” option if players wish to return to the original setting.
Scrooge McDuck’s Shop has received many quality of life changes. The daily shop rotation has been buffed, allowing players a better chance at finding new items they haven’t bought yet. If the shop has been fully upgraded, players will be given more pedestals to browse more furnishing options on the second floor. This rotation will now include rugs, wallpaper, and flooring. The maximum number of items you can purchase at a time from Scrooge’s catalog has been increased from 25 to 1000. Doors will also be making a return in the shop rotation.
The new update and Star Path also means the premium shop has reset. New items will be available weekly over the course of the Star Path. Old items that were available exclusively in previous Star Paths will be available to purchase with moonstones through the premium shop for the first time ever in Disney Dreamlight Valley. These items include the Incredi-Squrriel companion and the Up hot air balloon.

Last but certainly not least, players now have the option to change their name in game. To change the player name, open the menu and select “Settings” then “Help” and there will be a button available that says “Change Avatar Name”.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now for PC and all modern consoles.
