It’s a new year for Disney Dreamlight Valley. The first free update for the cozy farm-like simulator is around the corner and developers have released their first teaser leading up to the update.
The launch of the free update also brings players a brand new Star Path. The Star Path lets players complete special quests to earn in-game currency and spend them on exclusive items not available elsewhere in the game. Each Star Path has a special theme that coordinates with the items.
Back in 2023 during their first Developer update livestream, the Developers of Disney Dreamlight Valley showed a sneak peek at their 2024 roadmap. In the roadmap, it told us the first free update in 2024 would include Mike & Sully “Monsters Inc.” as new villagers. It wouldn’t be too far fetched if the first Star Path of the 2024 season was a Monsters Inc. themed event alongside the free update.
Emoji Predictions
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s twitter account released the first teaser for the Star Path, teasing potential items and other accessories with emojis. Let’s dive and try to predict what these emoji’s could be.
- A candle & spaghetti dinner
Our first initial reaction was Lady & The Tramp, specifically their romantic dinner date at Tony’s. But if the Star Path could be themed to “Monsters Inc.”, we could see furniture items similar to the restaurant Mike took his girlfriend Celia to on their date.
- A door and an eye
Now this teaser screams “Monsters Inc.”. If there’s one furniture item Disney Dreamlight Valley needs more of, it’s doors. Doors are used to decorate the players home, customizing the entry way to one or multiple rooms. We could see Boo’s door as a custom item.
- A woman and a snake
With the orange hair, we could make a leap and predict it could a “Brave” or Merida themed item. But the snake is what really seals the deal. Following the Monsters Inc. theme, we could potentially get a medusa snake like hairstyle, similar to Mike’s girlfriend Celia.
Based on the official roadmap, the first 2024 update of Disney Dreamlight Valley could drop as early as February 27th, along with the release of the new Star Path.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is now available for PC on STEAM and all modern consoles.
