It’s almost time to step back into the Grid as the first look for Disney’s highly-anticipated Tron: Ares has been revealed.
Jared Leto took to X to share the first look, which features his character Ares in one of the new suits featured in the movie. Leto captioned, “ARE YOU READY?? TRON: ARES 2025 See you on the grid…”
The story will reportedly focus on the emergence of Ares, a sentient program that crosses over into the human world that is not ready for contact. Jared Leto will play the human manifestation of that program.
The sequel to Tron: Legacy (2010) and the third feature film overall in the Tron franchise is directed by Joachim Rønning, with a screenplay by Jesse Wigutow and produced by Jared Leto, Justin Springer, and Emma Ludbrook. The film also stars Evan Peters, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Sarah Desjardins, and Gillian Anderson.
