Lindsay Lohan is slowly but surely making her way back to stardom. The actress is in Atlanta gearing up to film the highly-anticipated Freaky Friday 2 alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. Well, she could also be joining another big time Disney project.
According to Us Weekly, Lindsay Lohan could be making her way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “She’s also expressed interest in joining the Marvel universe — the first source tells Us that she’s in talks to play a vixen superhero,” the publication wrote this week.
Now, there are some things to keep in mind here, first Us Weekly is a gossip tabloid. and most tabloids are known for news stories that are over-exaggerated, sensationalized, or falsified for the sake of grabbing readers’ attention and generating higher profit. In this case, I would say the insider probably heard Lohan was interested in a role and the site over-exaggerated it.
Well, let’s take the side that this is true, could Lohan be joining the MCU? or is this another wool over the actors eyes from casting agents. It is no secret there is some confusion in Hollywood regarding what project is Disney (MCU) or Sony (Spider-Verse). Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney certainly though Madame Web was apart of the MCU prior to the films release and since the film has bombed and Johnson and Sweeney have let the world know that they were blind-sided. It would not be shocked if Lohan was put in a similar situation. That said, I think this rumor is bogus anyway.
If true, this would marks a return to The Walt Disney Company, where Lohan’s career really flourished and put her on the map. She starred in The Parent Trap, Life-Size, Freaky Friday, Get A Clue, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, and Herbie Fully Loaded.

Disney and Jamie Lee Curtis already confirmed the Freaky Friday sequel last year so that part is not bogus, she IS back with Disney
