‘The Bear’ Renewed For a Fourth Season; to Film Right After Season 3

The Bear has become one of the biggest series on television and FX is pleasing fans of the hit comedy.

According to Deadline, the series, which was renewed for a third season back in November, also has been picked up for a fourth season to film back-to-back in Chicago. As of now, the network has yet to confirm season 4, but it is expected to come. Additionally, the trade hears a season 5 is also on the table.

As to why Seasons 3 and 4 are expected to be filmed back to back, well, accommodating talent schedules is one explanation as Emmy winners Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri are said to be getting a ton of feature opportunities. Edebiri so much that she had to turn down a Marvel pic, Thunderbolts.

The series follows a young chef, Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, who inherits his family’s Italian beef sandwich shop after the suicide of his older brother. He comes home to Chicago to run it, leaving behind his world of working in Michelin-star restaurants. He is left to deal with his brother’s unresolved debts, a rundown kitchen, and an unruly staff, while dealing with his own pain and family trauma.

The series also stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson.Season 3 of The Bear will premiere in June on FX and Hulu.
