As pre-production is ongoing on Marvel/Sony’s fourth entry in the Tom Holland-led Spider-Man, new information is coming to light.
Earlier today, it was reported that filming on season 3 of Max’s hit series Euphoria was put on hold. Well, According to The InSneider, the reason that was, was due to Zendaya’s commitment to Spider-Man 4, which is expected to begin filming this Summer.
Additionally, the newsletter says they hear that Fast & Furious franchise director Justin Lin is being eyed to direct the project. It has been reported over the last year that Jon Watts, who directed the first 3 MCU Spidey pics was not coming back. Earlier this year, Drew Godard was also rumored to be in the running to direct.
As of now, Holland and Zendaya are the only returning characters at this time, and further details are being kept under wraps. It is also unknown if Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will return as they did in the billion dollar hit 2021s No Way Home. A release date has not been confirmed but a November 2025 release has been rumored.
