Taylor Swift continues to make a massive impact on The Walt Disney Company. Taylor Swift’: The Eras Tour made an impressive debut, landing at the eighth spot on Nielsen’s overall U.S. streaming ranking for the week of March 11.

The concert film, spanning 169 minutes and available on Disney+, garnered a total of 677 million minutes viewed. According to Disney+’s metrics, this equates to over four million individual “views,” although it’s worth considering the potential impact of viewing parties in the initial four days, which may not have been accounted for.

Nielsen’s analysis highlights that the streaming of the Eras Tour was primarily fueled by a female audience, comprising 70% of viewers, and it was well-distributed across various age groups. However, the 18-34 demographic showed the highest concentration of viewership, accounting for 26% of the audience.

The movie had its premiere at The Grove in Los Angeles on October 11, 2023, followed by a worldwide theatrical release on October 13. It experienced remarkable demand for tickets, setting a new record with $37 million in pre-sales on its first day in the U.S. and exceeding $100 million in pre-sales globally. “The Eras Tour” swiftly became the highest-grossing concert film in history, raking in $261.7 million during its limited theatrical run worldwide. Critics lauded the film, particularly applauding its direction, grandeur, vibrant energy, and Taylor Swift’s exceptional artistry and stage presence. An extended version of the film, titled “(Taylor’s Version),” featuring performances not included in the theatrical release, debuted on the Disney+ streaming platform on March 14, 2024.
