After months of anticipation, this morning Walt Disney World published a press release unveiling the official opening date for the highly anticipated attraction “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.” But then it was taken down.
Now, it appears that the release was published prematurely, as Disney has been teasing a special announcement regarding the attraction would be made during tonight’s episode of American Idol on ABC.
As you can tell by a screenshot taken of the now-deleted release below, however, the attraction is expected to open on June 28th!
We believe that Disney will formally make the announcement – and potentially reveal other details about the lead up to the opening – tonight.

As you might also be able to tell from the release, Disneyland’s version of the attraction is expected to open later in 2024.
Per Disney Parks, join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on their journey through a shimmering bayou as they prepare for a spirited celebration during Mardi Gras season. Along the way, you’ll see familiar faces and make new friends as you’re brought into the next chapter of Tiana’s inspiring story.
The attraction is bringing back the talented voice cast from Princess and the Frog, including Anika Noni Rose as Tiana, Bruce Campos as Prince Naveen, Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie, and Michael-Leon Wooley as Louis. Disney has also stated the attraction will feature new, original music in addition to music from Princess and the Frog.
