SEE IT: A Mysterious Trailer For A Live-Action ‘Atlantis: The Lost Empire’ Surfaces

For years, fans of Disney’s animated film Atlantis: The Lost Empire have clamored for a live-action adaptation. Today, those fans may finally have gotten what they asked for.

Recently, a mysterious video has gone viral on Reddit and TikTok, and it shows what looks like a trailer for a live-action adaptation of Atlantis: The Lost Empire being recorded secretly.

The alleged source of the original video on Reddit claims that they obtained the video “through a friend of a trusted source” and assumes that it might be making the rounds ahead of an official announcement at D23 this weekend.

Now, we can’t verify if the trailer is real, but we do agree the timing is suspect. To our knowledge, there is currently no live-action adaptation of the film in development at Disney. There was at one point though.

Additionally, none of the actors in said trailer look familiar. Lastly, between scooper culture and super sleuths that exist on the internet, it would be rather hard for the studio to make a full-fledged film or a trailer without someone knowing. With all that said, it might just be a fan-made trailer or a proof of concept trailer.

You can be the judge for yourself:
