Todd Stashwick, known for his significant role in the third season of Star Trek: Picard, has joined Paul Bettany and James Spader in Marvel Studios’ upcoming untitled Vision series, which serves as a continuation of the Emmy-winning WandaVision.
Stashwick is reuniting with Terry Matalas, the acclaimed showrunner of Picard, who is leading this new project, occasionally referred to as Vision Quest, although that is not its official name.
In this series, Bettany will reprise his role as Vision, the android who fell in love with Scarlet Witch and was ultimately destroyed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. In WandaVision, he made a return through magic and the power of grief, now appearing as a rebuilt android in a ghostly white form.
Spader is reprising his role as Ultron, a sentient being created by Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, to act as a defense program but that instead turned against humanity, as seen in the movie Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ultron then had a hand in the creation of Vision, his “son,” so to speak. It’s unclear whether Ultron will be returning as a robot or in human form.
