The official trailer for Daredevil: Born Again is here, but fans noticed the absence of a main character.

Where was Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) in the Born Again trailer?
You love Foggy Nelson. I love Foggy Nelson. Foggy loves Foggy. We all love Foggy. Where was Foggy in the new Born Again trailer?

Every Marvel fan quickly watched the first official trailer for Daredevil: Born Again when it went live on January 15; undoubtedly the most anticipated Marvel project of 2025 (other than Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*).
In the trailer, Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again, joined by Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter/Bullseye.
However, Matt Murdock’s reveal of “a line was crossed” in the official trailer leads fans to believe Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson might meet his demise in the upcoming series.

What line was crossed? Is Matt alluding to him crossing the line of taking another’s life that he wrestled with in the original series? Or, perhaps, could this line be the demise of Foggy Nelson?
While we see Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson in just one scene at the 0:23 mark of the trailer, he remains absent for the rest of the trailer.
Fans quickly rushed to social media to express their concerns.
One fan writes, “A line was crossed. Oh nah man, not foggy.”
Others point out that the scene in which Karen Page is dressed in all black could allude to her attending a funeral.

Further inspection of the above frame makes it plausible that Karen is attending a court hearing of sorts given the setting.
Furthermore, it looks as though “Dex”/Bullseye is in the bottom third of the frame. Could the above scene be a court hearing for Special Agent Benjamin Pointdexter’s heinous crimes from Daredevil season three?
Nonetheless, Foggy Nelson is nowhere to be seen. But, they can’t get rid of “Foggy Bear,” right?
Foggy Nelson is undoubtedly the voice of reason in Matt Murdock’s life. Without Nelson, Murdock would have lost himself in Daredevil season three.
The demise of Nelson would inevitably cause Murdock to either retire as Daredevil or leave the persona of Matt Murdock in the grave alongside Nelson.

Given Mayor Wilson Fisk/Kingpin asks Murdock, “Why did you stop being a vigalente,” it appears that Daredevil hit the high road after Daredevil season three with Kingpin and Bullseye being stopped – not because of the death of Foggy Nelson.
With behind-the-scenes shots from the production of Born Again showcasing Elden Henson, it’s clear he’s at least present in a handful of episodes.
However, anything could happen with this gripping and highly anticipated Marvel show.
This writer bets Foggy Nelson will be alive and well, but in constant danger of the series’ next villain: White Tiger.
