Kathryn Newton (Freaky, Abagail, Lisa Frankenstein) is continuing to build upon her horror resume.
According to Deadline, Newton is joining the cast of Radio Silence’s follow-up to its near $58 million global-grossing 2019 cult Searchlight hit Ready or Not.
Newton teams up with returning star Samara Weaving in the film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The original writers of Ready or Not, Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, are also returning for this project.
Richard Ruiz, the VP of Production at Searchlight, along with Creative Executive Cornelia Burleigh, is overseeing the project for the studio. They report to the co-heads of Production and Development, DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas.
The film is produced by Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer, and William Sherak, while the executive producers include Chad Villella, Tara Farney, Greg Denny, as well as Busick and Murphy.
