Pilot Ordered For Disney+/Disney Channel Series ‘Coven Academy’

Disney Branded Television has approved a pilot for Coven Academy (working title), a single-camera supernatural dramedy intended for both Disney Channel and Disney+.

In Coven Academy, created by Tim Federle, who is also the executive producer of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, a group of teenage witches-in-training must safeguard their town from an impending danger.

Federle collaborates with Bronwyn North-Reist as executive producers through his production company, Chorus Boy Productions, as part of his overall agreement with Disney Branded Television.

As part of this deal, Federle is also an executive producer for the upcoming live-action comedy series Vampirina, which is set to debut later this year on Disney Channel and Disney+.

Vampirina is one of two upcoming music-driven multi-camera comedy series from Disney Branded Television, alongside How We Became The Biggest Band in the World (working title). Both shows will be added to the lineup that includes Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.
