RUMOR: New Ghost Rider To Make MCU Debut In ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

This just in! The internet may still be reacting to Marvel Studios pushing back both upcoming Avengers movies, but there’s another hot new rumor making the rounds.

According to industry insider Jeff Sneider, Marvel is rolling out the red carpet for one major fan-favorite character in Avengers: Doomsday. Via his Hot Mic Podcast with John Rocca, he revealed that he heard that the studio is casting a new actor to play Ghost Rider in the film.

Now, details are scarce at this time, and there is a chance this could just be noise to throw some fans off. For that reason, we urge our readers to take it with a grain of salt. However, given Sneider’s track record, we’re inclined to believe there might be some truth to this rumor.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the character making their appearance in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. Not too long ago, we heard that Nicolas Cage was potentially in talks to reprise his role as the character in upcoming Marvel project. There’s even been a fun allusion to the character in Marvel’s She-Hulk.

But given that many other Marvel characters (and actors) pre-dating the Universe are expected to play some sort of role in the event film, it really is not that surprising.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to boast a (record-breaking?) A-list cast consisting of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bacharach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Florence Pugh as Yelena Bolova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Wyatt Russell as John Walker, Lewis Pullman as Bob, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Letitia Wright as Shuri/Black Panther, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon. Tenoch Huerta Mejia as Namor the Sub-Mariner, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Channing Tatum as Remy LeBeau/Gambi, Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavie, Sir Ian McKellen as Magneto, Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast, Alan Cumming as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, and James Marsden as Scott Summers/Cyclops – with even more cast members/characters under wraps.
