It is with great sadness that we at The DisInsider report Lilo & Stitch actor David Hekili Kenui Bell has passed away.
According to TMZ, Bell’s family confirmed his passing in a lengthy Facebook post Sunday, calling him “a generous, funny, brilliant, and handsome little brother” who gave her the unconditional love.
Bell had just come off major success as a side character in Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch.

Bell was credited in the film as the character named. “Big Hawaiian Dude.” While he had no lines, he had a recurring arc where he would drop his Italian ice after witnessing weird occurrences caused by the film’s alien characters.
Before Lilo & Stitch, Bell’s other acting credits included roles on Magnum P.I and Hawaii Five-O.
