New Film Gives Minnie Mouse Her Own Horror Treatment

First it was Winnie the Pooh. Then it was Steamboat Willie. But now it looks Minnie Mouse will be getting the chance to become a horror icon.

According to Deadline, filming has wrapped on a brand new, low-budget horror film titled Minnie’s Midnight Massacre.

Directed by Brett Bentman, the film will see the character (or perhaps someone wearing a mask of her face), go on a killing spree when seeking revenge against the childhood bullies who tortured her as a teenager.

The film is produced by Tiffany McDonald and Derrick Redford (Bull Shark) and will not be distributed worldwide by ITN – the same company that has been responsible for the “Poohniverse” horror films. However, it is important to note that the film is in no way affiliated with those films.

Hannah Hueston (Stiletto) leads the cast, but it’s unclear if she’s Minnie or one of her victims. .

The outlet also provided a first-look at the film, which you can see below!

The animated version of Minnie Mouse made her debut in Steamboat Willie in 1928. She entered public domain on January 1, 2024.

Stay tuned for more info about the film soon!
