REPORT: Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool Is In “Avengers Doomsday”

Hold on to your butts, Deadpool fans because it looks like the katana-wielding mutant is joining Avengers Doomsday.

The news broke in The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision where sources told the trade that Deadpool will be joining the massive ensemble of Avengers Doomsday starring Robert Downey Jr. as Victor Von Doom.

This doesn’t come as much as a surprise given the fact that earlier this week, Ryan Reynolds has posted on his Instagram an image of a red graffiti styled Avengers logo over the main logo speculating as a possibility that he’ll be in the movie.

Deadpool’s latest appearance was his third feature film Deadpool & Wolverine as he debuts in the MCU being the first R-rated film amongst the MCU too last year in July grossing over $1.338 billion at the box office worldwide with positive reviews with critics and audiences.

While Deadpool will be in the film, no word if any of the other characters from his third film will appear in Doomsday and what his role will be too.

Avengers Doomsday is currently filming in the U.K. with The Russo Brothers directing, along with a script by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely and Kevin Fiege producing.

Doomsday is set to assemble in theaters December 18, 2026.
