Major Marvel Studios Update Expected At New York Comic Con

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have to another 10 months for the franchise’s next theatrical release, but the upcoming streaming slate looks like it may be enough to hold them over.

Next week, the long-awaited What If… spin-off Marvel Zombies will hit Disney+. Then in December, the world will finally meet Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s Wonder Man. And next year, Vision Quest is set to come out, alongside the second season of Daredevil: Born Again and a Special Presentation starring Jon Bernthal’s Punisher!

Now, as of yet, we haven’t gotten any updates on any project after Marvel Zombies, but that will change next month at New York Comic Con.

According to both Marvel’s official website and New York Comic Con‘s, representatives from Marvel Television and Marvel Animation are expected to hold an hour-long panel at the convention.

The description of the panel is as follows:

“Join special guests for a look behind the scenes at some of Marvel’s most anticipated upcoming Disney+ shows from both Marvel Television and Marvel Animation.”

Now, due to the purposefully short description, it’s unclear if any new projects will be announced or showcased. However, given the studio’s history of secrecy, we wouldn’t be surprised if there was a very big mystery project revealed.

Earlier this year, when we spoke to the showrunner of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Jeff Trammell, he revealed that fans wouldn’t have to wait too long for the show’s next season. Could fans also get an update on that too? We’ll all just have to wait until then to find out!
