Marvel’s ‘Vision Quest’ Cast Revealed; Actor Playing Tommy Maximoff Revealed

Pre-production for Marvel’s Vision Quest series is well underway. While very little is known about the show, the last week has yielded several casting announcements that hint at its potential story.

According to Deadline, new additions to the cast include T’Nia Miller and Emily Hampshire. They’ll play the android Jocasta and an updated version of the artificial intelligence created by Tony Stark, E.D.I.T.H. (Even Dead, I’m The Hero).

In the comics, Jocasta is built be Ultron to be his potential bride. She has fought alongside both Ultron and the Avengers in the comics.

Hampshire takes over for Dawn Michelle King, an assistant editor on several MCU projects who lent her voice to the character in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

According to the industry insider Daniel RPK, Kerry Condon will be reprising her role as the artificial intelligence F.R.I.D.A.Y. from the Avengers films. Like E.D.I.T.H., she’s also expected to get an upgrade.

RPK also alleges that previously announced actor Ruaridh Mollica will not be playing a character named Tucker after all. But rather, he’ll be the new human host for Tommy Maximoff.

It’s worth noting that RPK had posted about the casting of both Miller and Hampshire before they were confirmed by the major trades, so we expect his reporting about Condon and Mollica to be correct as well.

Confirmed to be rounding out the cast is James Spader, who reprises his MCU role as Ultron, Faran Tahir, who returns as the Phase One terrorist Raza, and Todd Stashwick. The latter of whom is believed to be some sort of criminal after Vision’s sophisticated technology.

So it seems that Paul Bettany is really in great company. The only way in which the cast could get better is if Jennifer Connolly joined the cast as Karen, the AI in Peter Parker’s first suit in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Considering she is Bettany’s real-life wife, we’re willing to bet it may actually happen!

Vision Quest is the second WandaVision spinoff, following Agatha All Along. It is one of several upcoming projects on Marvel’s Disney+ slate aside from Daredevil: Born Again, which is filming its second season.

While it’s unclear when the project will hit the streamer, recent leaks indicate it may be timed with the release of Avengers: Doomsday.
