More casting news for Percy Jackson fans has arrived!
With Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 currently in production at Vancouver, two-time Emmy winner and former Saturday Night Live star, Kate McKinnon in a recurring role.
Variety reports McKinnon will be playing the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite.
According to the character description, Aphrodite “can alter her appearance depending on the beholder” and “must be sure that Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) respects the power and importance of love before she agrees to offer aid on his quest.”
Season 3 will be based on the third book of the Percy Jackson series, “The Titan’s Curse”.
Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry were recently casted in Percy Jackson season 3 back in August as Artemis and Zoe Nightshade.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians stars Walker Scobell as eponymous character, along side Leah Sava Jefferies (Annabeth Chase), Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood), Charlie Bushnell (Luke Castellan), Dior Goodjohn (Clarisse La Rue) and Daniel Diemer (Tyson).
Percy Jackson Season 2, which is based on the second book, “The Sea of Monsters” is set to premiere on Disney+ December 10.
