This latest episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, our demigod heroes have made it to the Island of Polyphemus along with some unexpected visitors as well.
In this solid episode, we see many sacrifices being made with our characters as they try to receive the golden fleece to put an end to this quest while so also dealing with consequences to their actions.
The episode starts off with an unconscious Tyson sinking in the bottom of the ocean after the explosion on Clarisse’s ship. He wakes up realizing he can actually breathe underwater since he’s the son of Poseidon which gives them the ability to breathe underwater like Percy. Tyson sees Annabeth’s rainbow bracelet floating in front of him and grabs until he sees something colorful swimming towards him.
Next scene cuts to Percy having a nightmare where he’s in Camp Half-Blood at night standing above campers who are lying dead on the floor with a hooded figure attacking him with lighting.

Percy wakes up panicking and tells Annabeth about his nightmare when the hooded figure was actually Thalia instead of Kronos. This worries Percy because his mom tells him that demigods dreams never lie but Annabeth encourages Percy to go back to sleep as their close to arriving to the Island of Polyphemus.
Cut to morning, Polyphemus gives a monologue to a tied-up Clarisse and Grover about being the island and having loneliness with Clarisse telling the Cyclops to stop talking causing him to get upset as he threatens to kill them and add their voices to his collection revealing that he killed satyrs by using the fleece to bring them to island that led Grover to being shocked of Polyphemus actions. Clarisse then tells their captor that he’s afraid that reinforcements will arrive but already knows as he’s using her and Grover as bait.
DIOR GOODJOHN, ARYAN SIMHADRI
Percy and Annabeth arrive at that island as their plan is to disguise themselves as sheep to get closer to Polyphemus as he tends the sheep on the island. As Annabeth preps up, she suprisingly gets an Iris Message from Luke to warn her about the Cyclops and realizes that she”s on the island. Annabeth displeases with a comeback that she doesn’t need help and that he only cares about the fleece and that Thalia would never support his cause of bringing back Kronos.
Percy cuts off the message warning Annabeth about Polyphemus opening up his cave and is coming towards their way to tend the sheep. He doesn’t care what Luke says because he knows that it’s an angle to get what he wants.
Percy and Annabeth blend with the sheep using their fur with the Cyclops unaware of the demigod children until they head to the top of the island where the golden Fleece is located on a tree with a giant hole that leads to down to the cave where Grover and Clarisse are held.
Percy finds the hostages along with the fleece with Grover trying to warn them that it’s a trap but a gullible Percy doesn’t hear them. He informs Annabeth that Clarisse is with them and Percy uses a rope to climb down to rescue Clarisse and Percy,
Annabeth finds gold dripping from the fleece realizing that the fleece is actually a fake and that it was a trap and sees Polyphemus coming their to only turn herself invisible with baseball cap.
Percy then finds himself seeing Polyphemus above him blocking his escape to cut the rope and with Percy falling until is caught by Clarisse and drops him with disgust.
WALKER SCOBELL
Percy is now stuck with Grover and Clarisse but Annabeth is the only one standing facing the Cyclops. We get a striking visual of seeing Annabeth being invisible as she taunts him about his encounter with Odysseus who was responible of blinding him leaving the monster angry with Luke finally arriving the island.
Luke sees Polyphemus acting crazy to retrieve the fleece until he realizes that its fake as well.
Grover uses his sniff to find the real golden fleece in a hidden corner in the cave only with the Cyclops feeling that they found and is heading back to the cave with angry Polyphemus opens up the cave then closes it to knock out an invisibility Annabeth from cutting his ankle with Percy being upset to try to get out of the cave to save her until Tyson comes to the rescue with a shocked Percy to see him alive.
Tyson and Polyphemus get into an argument about being related so they won’t fight with Tyson telling his Cyclops brother that Percy is his real brother and is nothing like him leading them to fight with both of them falling of the cliff.
Annabeth alone was badly hurt from Polyphemus’ attack and is slowly dying with Luke showing up to see Annabeth unconscious with Percy screaming for Annabeth doesn’t want Luke to touch her only to be informed in order to save Annabeth they need to put the golden fleece on her.
Clarisse refuses to give up the golden fleece to Percy telling him because she won’t sacrifice her quest to save Annabeth thinking that she would understand realizing that the situation is bigger with Luke there wanting to use the fleece to resurrect Kronos.
Grover tries to convince Clarisse with an emotional Percy snatching the fleece and giving it to Luke to heal Annabeth which works but Luke happy to see Annabeth okay and carries Annabeth with him leaving Percy distraught with what he just did.
Percy’s action leaves him upset which is of course his fatal flaw as it was touch up on last episode with Percy carrying too much of his friends that leads him to do the unthinkable as Clarisse takes her anger towards him about his guilt of killing the camp and Annabeth for his selfishness.
Tyson survived the fight and rescued Percy, Grover and Clarisse with Percy crying and embracing his brother thinking he would never see him again.
Ending the episode, we have Luke stealing Percy’s boat with Annabeth on board leaving the four heroes on the island. Tyson uses Annabeth’s bracelet to summon four rainbow colored hippocampi as their rides to rescue Annabeth and stop Luke.
