For some, it’s just a regular Wednesday. But for Marvel fans, it’s quite literally a Brand New Day.
After random snippets of the film were dropped online yesterday (like breadcrumbs), the entire first trailer for the next entry in Marvel and Sony’s live-action Spider-Verse is here!
According to Marvel Studios, the official plot synopsis for the film is as follows:
“After the record-breaking global success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks an entirely new chapter for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.”
Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker/Spider-Man along with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon reprising their roles as MJ and Ned, plus some new actors joining the film including Netflix’s Stranger Things and Tony nominee actress Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher, Mark Ruffalo’s The Hulk and FX’s The Bear star and Emmy winner Liza Colon-Zayas.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will began filming this Summer in London and set with release date of July 31, 2026 being directed Destin Daniel Cretton and co-produced by Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal.
