Following the cancellation of Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette last week, ABC may already be on the prowl for a new franchise star.
According to Deuxmoi, ABC has set its sights on reality star Maura Higgins!
Most will know Higgins from Love Island. But she has become somewhat of an “It Girl” following her appearance in the most recent season of The Traitors. She notably became the game’s last “Faithful” before sadly losing to fellow Love Island castmate Rob Rausch.
Additionally, the tabloid reports that ABC is trying to steer clear of the cast of The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives – presumably for all the drama that has continued to unfold among many of the other cast members besides Paul over the last week.
Now, Deuxmoi has not always been correct, which is why we’ve labeled this report as a rumor. Considering that the future of ABC’s once golden reality series is in peril, and that Higgins may have enough pop culture relevance and good will from the public to save it, we think there might be some truth to it.
We may all just end up with another season of The Golden Bachelor before this is all sorted out. But that’s not entirely a bad thing…
