July 5, 1988: Maelstrom opens at Epcot.

July 6, 2018: Ant-Man and the Wasp opens in theaters.

July 7, 2006: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is released in theaters. Happy 20th anniversary!

July 8, 2022: The Wonderful Summer of Mickey Mouse starts streaming on Disney+

July 9, 2021: Black Widow is released in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access. Happy 5th anniversary!

July 10, 1981: The Fox and the Hound is released in theaters. Happy 45th anniversary!

July 11, 1966: Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor Gerg Grunberg is born. Happy 60th birthday!

Brief thoughts: There are several milestone anniversaries this week. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest broke so many box office records 20 years ago; The Fox and the Hound was the most expensive animated movie ever produced at the time; Black Widow‘s hybrid release happened during a difficult time in the world.
