ROGUE ONE Actor Ben Mendelsohn In Talks To Play Villain In CAPTAIN MARVEL!

During Disney’s D23 Expo back in July Disney shared concept art and gave us new background on Marvel Studios film Captain Marvel and since then we haven’t heard much on the project, until now.

According to Variety Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One) has entered talks to portray the villain of the film, which will likely be the leader of the Skrulls.

Mendelsohn joins a cast that features Brie Larson in the title role, and Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury. The film will be helmed by Mississippi Grind directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck.

Captain Marvel which will be set in the 90’s follows Carol Danvers, an Air Force pilot whose DNA is fused with that of an alien during an accident. The resulting alteration imbues her with the superpowers of strength, energy projection, and flight.

Captain Marvel flies into theaters on March 8, 2019.
