We are getting closer to the release of Solo: A Stars Wars Story, With Ron Howard putting the finishing touches on the film as we speak. There are rumors floating around that a recent test screening took place with positive buzz from attendees. So with the release coming soon, we now know when and where the film will premiere.
According to Deadline, Solo: A Star Wars Story will make its debut at the Cannes Film Festival. The festival still is finalizing its competition film roster, but organizers won’t find a bigger film than this one. Sources said that the Lucasfilm origin story will premiere in a special screening May 15, before the picture makes its global premiere May 25.

Directed by Ron Howard, Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han, with Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. Woody Harrelson is playing Han’s mentor, a man by the name of Beckett, while Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge also star.
Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25, 2018.
