This has been a very heavy month for Marvel. We got a new ‘Captain Marvel’ trailer, the first trailer for ‘Avengers: End Game’, a trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home in the coming week, ‘Black Panther’ sweeping award shows and now, Scott Derrickson will return for the ‘Doctor Strange’ sequel! This is exciting news due to the next film barley being mentioned. Hopefully we get the Mordo/Strange face off in the next film!

THR has reported that Derrickson has quietly finalized a deal to helm the sequel and a search for a writer to pen the script is underway.

Benedict Cumberbatch is set to return as the titular character with Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams and Chiwetel Ejofor all likely to return as well.

No further information has been released but we’re bound to find out more information soon. Will most likely shoot for a 2021 release date.
