Kumail Nanjiani is looking to join the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nanjiani is in talks to join Angelina Jolie in Marvel Studios’ The Eternals.
The trade notes that the role he is up for is being kept under wraps but a lot of insiders are already placing their bets on Makkari. Jolie who has signed on already is believed to be playing Sersi.
While details about the film are being kept under wraps, it will center on the Jack Kirby-created comic about superpowered and near-immortal beings known as Eternals and a more monstrous offshoot known as the Deviants that were created by the cosmic beings called Celestials (a race featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy films).
Chloe Zhao, an award-winning indie director behind the critical hits The Rider and Songs My Brothers Taught Me, will helm from a script by Matthew and Ryan Firpo.
