Avengers: Endgame Box Office Predictions Upped to $260 – $270 Million Opening Weekend

Earlier this month, Avengers: Endgame dominated in every aspect from social media to its ticket sales. Within six hours of tickets going on sale, the film became the number one first day pre-seller on both Fandango and Atom Tickets, outselling Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The estimated number from those presales are now coming in, courtesy of Deadline and it currently sits at $120 million dollars. However, it could go as high as $140 million.

As if those stats were not massive enough, the outlet also reports that the box office predictions for the film have increased with the opening weekend numbers moving up from the $200 – $250 million dollar range to $260 – $270 million. Globally, it’s predicted to make around $850 – $900 million, with many predicting a $1 billion dollar worldwide gross and $300 million dollars domestically.

To prepare for Avengers mania, The Hollywood Reporter is stating that various AMC locations plan to be open around the clock from Thursday evening until Sunday, which was confirmed by AMC executive vice president of worldwide programming, Elizabeth Frank. Fandango’s Erik Davis also tweeted out last week that various theaters across the United States were adding more showtimes, a concern that some had in regards to box office totals.

With the world premiere having took place in Hollywood earlier today, it’s also likely that Endgame’s Rotten Tomatoes score may go up tomorrow or Wednesday at the very latest.
