After directing the most successful film in the Thor franchise in Thor: Ragnarok, director Taika Waititi is coming back for the fourth film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Waititi has signed on to write and direct, with Chris Hemsworth set to return as the titular character.
As for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, the actor previously revealed he would very much be interested in joining James Gunn’s next Guardians of the Galaxymovie. The end of Avengers: Endgame saw Chris Hemsworth’s Thor seemingly paired up with the Guardians of the Galaxy for their next adventure which spawned the theory that the film would take its name after the Asgardians of the Galaxy comic series. James Gunn has since confirmed that this will not be the case for the highly anticipated third installment of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
