A new area of Tokyo Disneyland in Tokyo, Japan, called ‘New Fantasyland’ will officially open to the public on April 15, 2020.
This area will feature many exciting new elements including a new Beauty and the Beast-themed attracted called ‘Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast’, as well as a new indoor theater.
‘New Fantasyland’ will include a vast area themed to Beauty and the Beast and bring many of the locations that make up Belle’s quiet little town to life, including Maurice’s Cottage and Gaston’s fountain.
Towering above a forest, guests will be able to marvel at the magnificence that is the Beast’s Castle, home to the area’s brand-new attraction ‘Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast’, where “guests will follow Belle and Beast on a romantic musical adventure in vehicles that dance in rhythm to the songs from the Disney Rennaisance classic”.
As guests venture further into the depths of the forest they’ll discover the Fantasyland Forest Theatre, the first full-scale indoor theater at Tokyo Disneyland with live entertainment featuring Disney faves.
In addition to “New Fantasyland” developments, Tomorrowland will welcome ‘The Happy Ride with Baymax’ (inspired by 2014’s Big Hero 6) on April 15, 2020, inviting guests to join their own personal healthcare companion on an “exciting ride that swings them unpredictably round and round”.
