‘Umbrella Academy’ Writer Jeremy Slater Set As Lead Writer On Marvel Studios ‘Moon Knight’ Series

Marvel Studios Disney+ series Moon Knight is in development and the studio has tapped an up and coming writer to lead the writing team on the upcoming project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jeremy Slater of Netflix hit series Umbrella Academy has been hired develop and lead the writing team on Moon Knight. Among Slaters other credits are the Netflix horror movie Death Note, and creating the TV version of The Exorcist.

Moon Knight follows Marc Spector a man who’s been shattered into 4 separate identities who come together to become the hooded crusader of vengeance: The Moon Knight.

The studio is looking for a “Zac Efron-type,” and preferably someone of Israeli descent to play Moon Knight.

Marvel Studios is also on a casting for search, for Disney+ series Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk. WandaVision, Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Solider, and Hawkeye are also coming to the streaming service and are various stages of pre-production.
