Kevin Feige In Talks To Produce New Marvel Series On ABC

Deadline has reported that ABC is looking to Kevin Feige for a new Marvel superhero series. During the Winter TCA press tour, ABC President, Karey Burke has confirmed that she is looking forward to working with Feige and the Marvel team; however, they have not decided on which characters to use.

“We love our partners at Marvel and we’re sad to see [Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D] go, it’s been a big part of our history. We’re looking forward to working with Kevin Feige and we’re at the very beginning of conversations with him now about what a Marvel and ABC show might look like. Right now, Marvel’s focus has been on Disney+, as it should be.”

ABC has previously developed several Marvel shows: Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Agent Carter, and Inhumans. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is currently airing it’s final season, so it would make sense for Marvel to hop back in with a new series.

Marvel is also developing The Falcon and the Winter Solider, Wandavision, Loki, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Blade, Hawkeye, and Marvel’s What If… They are all set to be released on Disney+.

Let’s hope this turns out better than the Inhumans. However, Marvel isn’t afraid of axing popular shows. As of right now, they have canceled Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Marvel’s Runaways, and Cloak and Dagger. As much as we enjoyed these previous series’, we have a lot to look forward to.
