Marvel Studio’s ‘Shang-Chi’ Will Travel To San Fransisco For Filming

HNEntertainment has learned that the up coming Marvel Studios project, Shang-Chi will be filming some scenes in San Francisco, CA. As of right now, production is set to start very soon in Australia, with the cast already making their way over.

The working title for the film will be Steamboat, as previously reported by HNEntertainment.

No word on any plot details yet, but the main villain for the film is rumored to be the Mandarin.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Just Mercy), the film is set to star newcomer Simu Liu as the titular hero, popular Chinese actor Tony Leung (Infernal Affairs), Awkwafina (Jumanji: The Next Level, Crazy Rich Asians), and Michelle Yeoh, both roles are currently unknown at this time.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings will be in theaters on February 12, 2021.
