Disney Takes Home Multiple Kids Choice Awards

The Kids Choice Awards 2020 was postponed but that didn’t stop Nickelodeon from putting on a virtual show featuring the hottest stars, and Disney took home a lot of awards.

Marvel Studios’ highest-grossing film of all-time, Avengers: Endgame took home Favorite Movie, beating out fellow Disney billion-dollar films Aladdin, The Rise of Skywalker, and Captain Marvel.

Tom Holland won for Favorite Superhero as Spider-Man in both Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home, Holland beat out his fellow Endgame co-stars, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth (who was also nominated for Men In Black: International), he also fought of Will Smith for his surprisingly good performance as the Genie in Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake.

In a surprise win, Dove Cameron won for Favorite Movie Actress for her role in Descendants 3, beating out some big names including Angelina Jolie (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame), Scarlett Johansson (Avengers: Endgame), and Zendaya (Spider-Man: From Home).

The billion-dollar smash sequel, Frozen 2, was able to fend off fellow Disney billion-dollar blockbusters The Lion King and Toy Story 4 for Favorite Animated Movie.

Josh Gad took home the award for Favorite Male Voice From An Animated Movie for his return as Olaf in Frozen 2. Gad was able to hold off Tom Hanks, who was once again nominated for his performance as Woody in Toy Story 4. For the ladies, Beyoncé won for Favorite Female Voice From An Animated Movie for her work as Nala in The Lion King remake, which was a shock to me, as she beat Idina Menzel (who I believe should’ve won) and Kristen Bell for their work as Elsa and Anna in Frozen 2.

Do you agree with all the winners? If not, who do you think should’ve won? Personally, I believe there was snubs who were not even nominated including, Aladdin stars Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott, Daisy Ridley for The Rise of Skywalker, Tony Hale for Toy Story 4, and even Michelle Pfieffer and Elle Fanning for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
