Disney’s official theatrical release schedule currently has two Pixar films dated for 2022. One scheduled to hit theaters on March 13 and another on June 17. It’s unknown which film the studio is currently working on. Details on the project are being kept under wraps, and we likely won’t hear any news on the project until next year, as Pixar likes to keep things under secrecy.

Hartline, who has been with the company for eleven years, has worked on some of Pixar’s biggest hits, including Up, Toy Story 3, Cars 2, Brave, Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, Cars 3, Toy Story 4, and this year’s newest film Onward. Hartline will serve as the supervising animator on the 2022 film.

Rumors have swirled regarding what the 2022 film could be, with Reddit claiming a Cars 4 is in the works, which is not true, both 2022 films are expected to be original films, but rest assured that information is not out there, so please stay away from those rumors at this time.

Stay tuned to as we plan to bring you any of the latest news and updates regarding this project from Pixar, as well as other news from the Walt Disney Company.
