New Details For ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Revealed

Marvel Studios has finally resumed production on their film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. While not much is known on the film, MCU Cosmic has uncovered some exciting new details.

According to the site, When the story starts The Mandarin (Tony Leung) and Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) are not enemies, and The Mandarin acts as a mentor figure for Shang-Chi. They’ve also learned some details regarding the dragon Fin Fang Foom. Here is what MCU Cosmic revealed, it appears that the concept of a magical trinity will continue in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings where there is a trio of wizards who are tasked with keeping Fin Fang Foom dormant. Obviously something is going to happen to them to cause the dragon to awaken in the movie.

Production is taking place in Australia, where the studio reportedly taking “careful steps” to keep the cast and crew safe and healthy.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Just Mercy), the film is also set to star Awkwafina (Jumanji: The Next Level, Crazy Rich Asians), Michelle Yeoh (Kung Fu Panda 2), Rosalind Chao, (Mulan), Florian Munteanu (Creed II), and stand up comedian Ronnie Chieng, all roles are currently unknown at this time.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings will be in theaters on May 7, 2021.
