It was only a few days ago that Emma Roberts revealed to the world that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Garrett Hedlund. Now, the former Scream 4 star has unveiled even more good news.
According to Deadline, she’s the latest actress to sign an exclusive first-look deal at Hulu. There, she’ll have a particular focus on adapting books into new series. The first series on the docket is Carola Lovering’s Tell Me Lies.

Published in 2018, the story follows a young woman named Lucy Albright who falls for a mysterious young man named Stephen DeMarco. Though what starts off as an innocent romance eventually has, “consequences they never could have imagined.”
Roberts is no stranger to the small screen originally getting her big break starring on Nickelodeon’s coming-of-age show, Unfabulous, from 2004-2007. She’s since taken on far more mature roles on and off the small screen ranging from the aforementioned Scream 4 to Ryan Murphy’s anthology series American Horror Story, where she’s since become an expected regular.
While it’s unclear if Roberts will star, she is expected to produce the show through her company Belletrist. Lovering is also attached to the project as a consulting producer.
