Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) is the newest actor to join Searchlight’s comedy The Menu. Hoult joins a talented cast that includes Anya Taylor-Joy (Queen’s Gambit), Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter franchise), and Hong Chau (Artemis Fowl). Deadline was first to report on the news.

The film is a darkly comedic psychological thriller set in the world of eccentric culinary culture, centering on a young couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island where an acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu. It is unknown at this time who the actors are playing. That said, this cast will bring us something quite tasty.
Mark Mylod (Shameless) is set to direct. Adam McKay will produce through his Hyperobject Industries banner along with Betsy Koch. Will Tracy and Seth Reiss penned the script. Searchlight’s SVP Production DanTram Nguyen and director of production Zahra Phillips will oversee for the studio.
Nicholas Hoult has had quite the career. The actor is best known for his portrayal of Hank McCoy aka Beast in the X-Men franchise. His other notable works include Mad Max: Fury Road, Warm Bodies, Hulu’s The Great, and this years Those Who Wish Me Dead.
