RUMOR: ‘Eternals’ Star Don Lee Returning To Film A New Marvel Project This Summer
According to the site AllKPop, it appears that South Korean actor Ma Dong-seuk, who also goes by the name Don Lee, is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an upcoming mystery Marvel project.
Now, it’s not clear if the actor will be returning to reprise his role as Gilgamesh from Eternals, or if he’ll play a new role altogether – similar to how his Eternals co-star Gemma Chan plays Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel before being cast as Sersi. However, the site hangs the report on “industry insiders” who claim that the actor is “scheduled” to return to the U.S. this summer, at the behest of Marvel, after he finishes promoting his latest South Korean film titled Wilderness.
For those who might remember Lee from Marvel’s Eternals last year might recall that the character Gilgamesh was killed off halfway through, after an encounter with an advanced Deviant. Could this mean the character will reappear in the form of a flashback?
With the shocking revelations that Eternals are seemingly sentient super-powered robots created by Celestials, perhaps it’s possible the character could be reconstructed and return in a new body. We won’t speculate too much, but this report about Lee isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Eternals charactes returning.
Recently, actress Salma Hayek has stated that she signed on for multiple projects, despite her character also being killed off in the film. Being that this is a rumor, as always, we urge readers to take this news with a grain of salt. On the off-chance that Don Lee is actually re-teaming with Marvel though, what project(s) do you think he’s working on? Sound off below!

Eternals was a flop critically and financially. I think it’s a new project. (I liked eternals personally)
