What Teasers Does Disney Have in Store For The Super Bowl?

February 7, 2022Skyler Shuler

Next week is the big game, Super Bowl 56, with the game being held in Los Angeles with the Rams in the game, all eyes will be glued to screens. As always this means big promos and teasers for studios including Disney. That said, what could Disney be showing off?

Let’s start with Marvel Studios, a Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser is expected and will likely show off more characters and new footage. Moon Knight is in late March so a quick teaser is also possible, there are rumors She-Hulk is expected to debut this Summer so a quick glimpse isn’t out of the realm of possibility. Last year, Disney had a spot for the Disney+/Marvel series Falcon and the Winter Soldier which drew an additional 30M+ views on social media a day after the Super Bowl.

On the animation side Pixar has two films releasing within three months of each other, Turning Red, which will debut on Disney+ and Lightyear. I have heard Lightyear will in fact have a teaser during the big game, Turning Red just seems obvious due to its March release and Disney is really trying to push for subscribers.

Sadly, things I wouldn’t expect to see during the Super are Ms. Marvel, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Thor: Love and Thunder, Strange World, or any other Disney+/theatrical project. Disney typically only brings 2-4 teasers during the Super Bowl. That said, during last years game,Disney+ released a sizzle reel that was the talk of social media. If the streamer wants to make a big splash, they should release a sizzle reel quickly highlighting 2022’s biggest projects such as Cheaper by the Dozen, Disenchanted, Hocus Pocus 2, Willow, Better Nate Than Ever, and all the Marvel and Star Wars projects.

In 2013, Skyler Shuler wanted to share his knowledge of Disney films and the magic behind the scenes. So, he created the Instagram account Disney Film Facts and the page quickly garnered a following. Soon after a Twitter was created, and not long after that DisneyFilmFacts.com was born. The page has been lucky enough to garner a wonderful following of such amazing Disney and movie fans, as well as been sourced in some of the biggest entertainment sites in the world. In 2018, the page was rebranded to The DisInsider, and the rest was history!
