February 19, 2022Skyler Talley

It’s been a little over a year since season 2 of the top-rated Disney+ show The Mandalorian ended, and fans are eager for a third season. Many details regarding season 3 of the show remain unknown at this time, but leading actor Pedro Pascal briefly teased what fans can expect when The Mandalorian returns.

In a recent interview with Neelix, Pedro Pascal was asked what he could reveal about season 3 of The Mandalorian. In response, Pascal said:

“Definitely nothing (laughs). Okay, there will be some familiar faces and there will be a lot of new faces. In addition, there is again a lot of action and a really great story. Satisfied?”

Although he didn’t give away anything, fans are buzzing to see who will make an appearance in season 3. We can rest assured that Pedro Pascal will be returning as the lead, and presumably Baby Yoda (Grogu) along with him. Pascal’s stunt double, Brendan Wayne, posted a picture of the Pascal on Instagram near the end of 2021, with a caption that read: “No spoilers!!! But just in case the world didn’t know yet @pascalispunk is incredible. The journey they wrote for him this season was so beautiful. The fact that Pedro went beyond the page and made this epic.”

In addition to Pedro Pascal, Carl Weathers will be returning in the new season as well. As filming began, Weathers went on Twitter to say: “Mandalorian, season #3 begins for Yours Truly, on tomorrow. Greef Karga will be back on Disney+.” Not only with Weathers be returning as an actor for season 3 of The Mandalorian, but he will also be returning as a director once again!

Giancarlo Esposito will also reprise his role as Moff Gideon, he confirmed in an interview with Metro.co.uk in 2021. He said: “He is that uber-villain who is all-powerful and who knows all about the technology and all these other things. So suffice to say, you will see Moff again…and soon.”

Beyond that, we can’t say for sure who will be in the cast for season 3 of the popular series. Fans will have to wait for more announcements in the coming months, as we near the release of season 3. Although no date has been confirmed, there is a good possibility of a 2022 fall/ winter release.
