Just a few months ago, we got our first glimpse at Thor: Love and Thunder in the form of a leaked poster. Although it included a tease of both Natalie Portman’s reinvigorated Jane Foster and Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher, we now seem to have an even better look at the two characters thanks to photos released by Marvel.
Partnering with Hasbro & LEGO once again, the company unveiled some of its cross-promotional toys for the film today.

While Jane will be suiting up for the first time in the upcoming film, in the first image on the left, it also appears that Thor will be getting an all new outfit altogether. You might also the Stormbreaker, which all but confirms that it’s still in Thor’s possession.
In the right image, however, all of the main characters including Valkyrie and Gorr appear. While we don’t get the best look at Gorr, you might notice that on the box he seems to be sparring with Jane. Could this hint at an epic face-off between the two in the film? We’ll just have to wait and see.
The fourth film in the superhero franchise is expected to be released in just under a year on July 8, 2022.
While plot details are currently under wraps, at the very least the film will explore the storyline from Jason Aaron‘s Thor run, in which Jane Foster proves herself worthy of wielding Mjölnir and takes up the mantle of God of Thunder.
Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Jamie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, and Russell Crowe are currently set to star in the film. Director Taika Waititi will also reprise his role as the odd alien Korg, with Sam Neill, Matt Damon, and Melissa McCarthy appearing in cameos.
