We’re one step closer to seeing the Mandalorian return in his own show again.
This afternoon, an account belonging to someone close to the production of the third season of The Mandalorian announced that filming was complete. While the post is no longer available, the news got picked up by a random fan account on Twitter. From there, series star Carl Weathers happily retweeted it, essentially confirming what fans have been waiting two long years to hear.

Following extensive delays due to COVID-19, the highly anticipated third season finally began filming late last year. Due to his involvement shooting the HBO Max series The Last of Us, it was reported that a lot of production took place without star Pedro Pascal. However, he’s expected to complete his work via ADR during the post-production process.
Fans last saw Pascal’s Din Djarin appear in an extended arc during The Book of Boba Fett this past Winter. While it’s unclear what he’ll do next, we certainly know that he won’t be alone with Grogu back in his “custody”.

Details on the third season are being kept under wraps for now, but at the very least we know that we can expect some fun appearances by actors such as Christopher Lloyd and Jim O’Heir.
The series is expected to return to Disney+ in late 2022/early 2023.
