It’s been less than a week since the finale of Ms. Marvel aired. While a post-credit scene teased where Kamala Khan will (or won’t) appear next, the future of the character is largely uncertain.
In a recent interview with The Direct, two of the series directors – Adil El Arbi and Billal Fallah – spoke candidly about what’s next for the Marvel’s newest hero.

“I think, power-wise, we saw just the tip of the iceberg of Kamala Khan,” Adil said. “I think there is so much more she can do, and on that front, I think there’s a big road for that, some more spectacular power.”
Bilal added that “a great can of action sequences” would accompany the character in the future.
Could that mean that she would gain additional abilities? The new origin of her superpowers aside, the revelation of Kamala being a mutant at the end of the final episode raises even more questions about Kamala’s potential.
Regardless of what’s in store for Kamala, she has cemented herself as staple within the MCU, and we’re just interested to see less of what she does but where she goes.
After her stint in The Marvels, could she ditch Earth and continue monitoring the Cosmos alongside her idol Captain Marvel? Or could she become a founding member of the inevitable Young Avengers team? Only time will tell.
While Marvel has yet to officially announce a second season of Ms. Marvel, the banner on the Disney+ homepage that says “Season Finale Now Streaming” seemingly confirms the show will return in the future.
