This year’s D23 Expo is already off to a strong start. While the biggest announcements have yet to be made, CEO Bob Chapek kicked off the day with a major scoop regarding one the company’s most popular parks.
Prior to today’s Disney Legends Panel, Chapek revealed that Disneyland’s Avengers Campus would be expanding alongside the Marvel Cinematic Universe it draws inspiration from. He said, “There’s going to be a lot more of Earth’s mightiest heroes and villains at Disneyland.”
What he meant was that the popular site within Disneyland would be adding a third attraction. An accompanying tweet teased that the attraction would be interactive to a certain degree.
Chapek further teased that, “The Avengers Campus at Disney’s California Adventure is going deeper into the Multiverse.”
More details are expected to be unveiled Sunday during the company’s parks panel.
